The way forgiveness is always worded annoyed me and I didn’t understand it.
Epiphany this week: Forgiveness is about realizing they are another human being. It’s not just someone that “DID THAT” to you but they screwed up. We all screw up. They screwed up in a way that really hurt you. You’ve screwed up in ways that have really hurt others, just in different ways. It’s realizing that someone messed up and it happened to hurt you. That’s how I’ve been able , I think, to start to let it go, was through this logic.
